The Red Beach in Santorini is arguably the most famous and beautiful beach in Santorini. It is also considered one of the most spectacular beaches in Greece. On some days, most visitors choose not to walk all the way down to the beach and instead admire the unique landscape of red and black volcanic rocks from the headland. Accessing the beach is relatively easy. You can leave your car at the parking space and continue on foot, which takes about two minutes. As you gradually get down following the path, you will be impressed by the different colorings of the cliffs. Numerous sunbeds and umbrellas cover the dark sand. Snorkeling is highly recommended due to the interesting underwater rock formations. You can also approach the beach by boats that depart from Akrotiri port.
